After demolishing the previous building, the original 19th-century bricks were kept and reused in the new building's facade. The subtle clayish hues of the bricks help to harmonise the new building with its environment. The ground floor was built with the old bricks – out of respect for the original structure –, whereas the second floor was done in wood, using narrow vertical planks. The second storey is diagonally joined with the bottom structure at the sides of the building, which makes it appear lighter and creates a harmonious combination of brick and wood. The wood panelling is separated from the brick by a narrow strip of tin, which is also the material used for the building's roof. The smaller adjacent structure was part of the property – since it had to be preserved, adjustments were made to match its facade with that of the dental clinic.
